Howdy traders, it’s Matt here.
Tim Sykes always tells us to trade like a sniper.
But lots of people don’t really understand what that means.
They think, “That means we’ve got to be deadly and resolute when making a call.”
No, it means we get in and out fast.
A sniper only takes one shot and they pick it well. Above all, they wait for the right circumstances.
Here’s why that matters for our niche …
These stocks can move fast.
Last Friday, GSI Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: GSIT) launched over 200%.
That was in one trading day.
To take advantage of that volatility, one of the best strategies is sniper trading.
We only hold a position for a few minutes to minimize our exposure to risk.
The stock ran over 200%, but I didn’t know it was going to do that when the market opened on Friday at 9:30 A.M. Eastern. That’s why the best strategy is to wait for the chart to match one of our top patterns.
And in order to do that, I need to have eyes on it.
I can’t trade a stock I’m not watching.
That’s why it’s so important to find these tickers before the spike gets too big.
I used to sit in front of the computer all day and watch for my scan to pick up another runner. But that gets old fast.
Instead, I let the stocks come to me.
It’s about working smarter instead of harder.
Don’t exhaust yourself trying to find the next spike.

I’ll see you in the next letter.
