Friday and Monday are some of the best days to trade.
Friday because short sellers don’t like holding over the weekend. A stock could drop hot news and spike the price Monday morning. So they buy to cover and exit the trade.
A bunch of short sellers buying back shares contributes to the bullish momentum.
Monday is volatile because sometimes stocks drop news over the weekend or build off momentum from Friday. And since the market is closed Saturday and Sunday, the stocks have extra time to gain momentum and exposure.
